Interactive Events/Demos

Interactive events/demos give participants the possibility of showing and viewing new, interesting, and novel ideas in human-computer interaction concepts and technology. An interactive event proposal is composed of two parts:

1) A short description of the system, max 2 pages, conforming to the NordiCHI 2006 short paper format. (See here for publication format templates).  To be printed in the proceedings if accepted.

2) A one-page interaction plan, describing how the working system is going to be used at the conference, including spatial and other requirements. Demo presentations are given in two formats: a) as a presentation in the interactive events session (supplementing presentation of underlying concepts), and b) as a continuous running presentation (for hands-on interaction in breaks, during poster session, etc.).

The short paper and the interaction plan should be submitted by e-mail to demos@nordichi.org by July 10, 2006.

Please observe that the presenters must supply all equipment necessary for the interactive event. Internet access will be available, but presenters must contact the organizers about this. Shipment of equipment is under the responsibility of the presenters.

The system will be presented during the interactive event session at the conference and the short description of the interactive event will be published in the conference proceedings.
